6-Day Mount Kilimanjaro Hiking

We depart Moshi for Marangu Gate for the necessary formalities before beginning our trek. The hiking trail begins by ascending a beautiful, tropical rain forest. At the upper edge of the forest line, we have the opportunity to see blue monkeys. The trail then widens to expose beautiful hillsides until we reach Mandara Hut. Elevation (ft): 6,046 ft to 8,858 ft, Hiking Time: 4-5 hours.

This is an extra day meant for acclimatization and can be spent day hiking on Mawenzi Ridge. The unique landscape offers motivating views of Kibo and Mawenzi. After spending a few moments exploring the area we head back to Horombo Hut. Hiking Time: 5-7 hours, Habitat: Heath.

Today we climb very gradually towards the lunar desert of the Saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. These 6-7 hours of walking will be taken at a slow pace until we reach Kibo Hut (4,700m), where we will have dinner and spend the night. We wake up around 12:00 am for summit preparation. We will have a hot meal to warm ourselves up then start the hike.

Today we descend past Mandara hut to Marangu National Park Gate, we will receive our summit certificates. From here you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha Town to rest and enjoy the great scenes and memory through the pictures taken while on the hike.
